HyperPipes

Race the outside of the pipe

A neon anti-gravity racer built on one twist: you ride the outside of the tube, not the inside. Gravity drags you around the circumference toward the bottom of the pipe — so holding the top is a balancing act, and swinging around the side is how you pass.

The game

Built around one idea

Every track is a closed loop generated from a seed, and every craft, hazard and shot lives in track space — distance along the loop, angle around the tube. Nothing is hand-placed, so no two seeds race the same.

Outside-the-pipe physics

Gravity pulls you around the tube, not down a track. Lean into it, ride the shoulder, or lose the line and slide off the top of the world.

Procedural tracks

Loops are sampled from a curve with parallel transport, so the seam is invisible and the surface stays perfectly smooth. Reroll a seed, get a new race.

Career & championships

Race for purses, bank the money, and run three cups back to back with points carrying over, live standings and a trophy ceremony on the podium.

Race Lab

Build your own race: pick a theme, roll seeds with a live preview, choose a race type and intensity — then save the ones worth keeping.

Weapons & hazards

Lock a target and fire, grab a shield, or set off a shock wave that surges both ways down the pipe. Mines, walls, slow zones and rotating gates fight back.

Plays your way

Xbox, PlayStation and MFi pads supported natively with rumble, every key rebindable, colour-blind palettes, and a one-press screenshot key.

How it plays

Hold the line, or take the long way round

  1. 1

    Gravity goes sideways

You sit on the outer skin of the tube. Gravity pulls you around the circumference toward the world's down side — let go and you drift off the crown.

  2. 2

    Steering is your balance

Steering swings you around the pipe rather than left and right. Fight the pull to hold the fast line at the top, or ride around the side to slip past a rival.

  3. 3

    The meter is always filling

Boost recharges on its own — spend it when it reads ready. Draft off the racer ahead, grab a pickup, and cash the purse for upgrades in the garage.

What's next

Race your friends online

Online multiplayer is being built right now: up to 9 racers in one lobby — you and eight friends — on the same procedurally generated track.

9

Nine on one track

One lobby, one seed, everybody racing the same pipe at the same time.

Steam lobbies

Invite friends straight through Steam. No server list, no accounts to make, nothing to rent — it rides on Valve's own lobby network.

Free to play together

No subscription and no paid servers, ever. One player hosts and the rest just join.

Status: in development — Steam sign-in and the lobby screen are working; launching a race across the wire is the piece still being built. Not playable in the current build.

Screenshots

Straight from the game — no touch-ups.
